Call for Input on Section 504
As you may know, the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is examining how to update and improve regulation of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Draft regulations are expected from OCR sometime in 2023, along with a formal comment period.
CEC's Policy Steering Committee is currently preparing a position statement on Section 504 and would like to invite you to share your input- what is working well, and what could be improved- from your perspective as a special education professional.This will help inform future responses to OCR.
