Family-Led Academic Grand "FLAG" Rounds begin January 16, 2025.

Funded by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, FLAG Rounds will offer 5 sessions focused on ableism, or discrimination towards children and adults with disabilities. Family faculty will present an aspect of their “case” as a story and then offer competency-based strategies to dismantle ableism and partner in the care of children with disability and/or medical complexity. Each FLAG Round will be unique in topic and presentation and involve at least two different family faculty.

This virtual educational opportunity is open to anyone (families, providers, professionals) in the U.S. or Canada who cares for children with disabilities and/or medical complexity.

The target audience for this pilot project is pediatric providers, educators, and trainees. Continuing education credits for physicians, nurses and social workers are available.
